ABOUT THE PROGRAM

  • The Alliance Teacher Residency Program pairs you with a mentor teacher so that you enter the classroom ready to teach on day one.
  • We have partnered with Marshall Teacher Residency that has a values-based approach to teaching and learning.
  • During this one-year teacher residency program, residents will receive financial aid that covers living expenses for one year, a $32,500 Alliance scholarship and a $20,000 Marshall living stipend.
 
LEARN
  • Effective classroom management skills for a collaborative classroom culture
  • The design and execution of intellectual preparation lesson planning
  • Asset-based and culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Data-driven instructional strategies to promote scholar learning

EARN

  • A California Preliminary Credential – available Credentials are Single Subject English, Math, & Science (Biology, Physics, or Chemistry)
  • A scholarship for living expenses of $52,500 for the duration of the one-year residency

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree (or expected bachelor’s degree in May 2023)

DEADLINE

  • Ten spots are available. Priority deadline is April 28 with a first-come, first serve basis. The application window closes on May 10, 2023.
