Alliance Margaret M. Bloomfield High School is located in Huntington Park, southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The area is primarily home to Mexican-American families, many of whom are recent immigrants to the United States. All the scholars are known personally to staff members and the school has a family-oriented environment.
Points of Pride
Each scholar has the use of a tablet to keep up with the 21st-century world. Extracurricular activities offered include music, art, cooking, college courses, computer labs, cheer and Junior State of America, an organization that builds leadership and civic engagement through volunteer work and activism. They partner with: East Los Angeles College so scholars can earn college credit in high school, Step Up, a program geared to inspire confidence in girls, YBA, an organization that brings career skills into the classroom by leveraging businesses in the community, Mathematics Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) an academic preparation program for scholars.
