Alliance CRMA 5 is located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood northeast of Downtown Los Angeles. Lincoln Heights is considered to be the oldest community in Los Angeles, and is home to many historic landmarks. The school strives to transform the educational experience by leveraging the rich convergence of cultures.
Alliance CRMA 5 offers an extended day program that provides students opportunities to be in school until 6PM working on academic development or tapping into creative skills in music, cheer and art. They have extensive partnership with the following organizations: Dream Center, Barrio Action Youth and Family Center, We Thrive and Cultural Affairs LA. These local communities partnerships help provide mental, physical, emotional and social supports to families.

Jose Miguel Kubes came to the United States from Guatemala in 1979. His voyage as an immigrant included being an English Language Learner, an undocumented child living in South Central Los Angeles and a student within the Los Angeles Unified School District. Mr. Kubes started his teaching career as a teacher at Manuel Arts High School and later became an assistant principal. He has also served as a principal at Vista Charter Middle School. Mr. Kubes received his bachelor's and master's degree from California State University, Los Angeles and is currently working on his doctorate at Pepperdine.
