Rickey Ivie is a senior director of Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt. Founded in 1965, Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt, is a mid-size general practice litigation and transactional firm that represents consumers, businesses and public entities.
In general liability, civil rights, real estate, transactional and contractual matters, Mr. Ivie has represented such luminary clients as Compton Commercial Development, Pacific Bell, Sempra Energy,The Anshultz Entertainment Group, The Bakewell Construction Company, The Drifters, The County of Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Unified School District, The Panda Restaurant Group, The Platters, and United Television Broadcasting. In addition to his extensive legal practice, from 2003 to 2016, Mr. Ivie served as the Chairman of the Board of the UCLA Black Alumni Association where he worked to maintain diversity at UCLA and raise funds for scholarships for African American students.
Mr. Ivie received his undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1973 and his Juris Doctor degree from UCLA School of Law in 1977. Mr. Ivie was a member of the Los Angeles County Insurance Commission and the State Bar Committee on Professional Liability Insurance for over 10 years. He now serves as a Commissioner of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services Commission.
