Richard Merkin Middle School, An Alliance College-Ready Academy, acts as a feeder school and shares a campus with Gertz-Ressler High School, An Alliance College-Ready Academy. Many of the schools in this community serve a range of 1,500 to over 3,000 students per campus.

Demographics and Average Daily Attendance

97% Hispanic and 3% African American, 22% English Language Learner (ELL) students, and 96% free or reduced meal program participants. To date, average daily attendance is 98%.

Principal Profile

Donna Jacobson began her career in education as a teacher in the Inglewood Unified School District, where she also served as an administrator at the elementary level. Before joining the Alliance, she served as assistant principal at Culver City Middle School. She has a Masters degree from Loyola Marymount University and is completing her doctorate in education from the University of Southern California.
