Alliance CRAHS 20 will utilize the Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) education model, which provides each student with a laptop and uses a wide variety of technological tools to prepare them for success in college and future careers.  To read more about the BLAST model, click here.


We are very excited to open our first Alliance school in San Pedro fall 2014! San Pedro is a very diverse neighborhood located near the Port of Los Angeles, just west of Wilmington and Long Beach.

Principal Profile

Bobby Canosa-Carr will serve as founding principal for Alliance Alice M. Baxter College-Ready High School. For the past four years, Mr. Carr has served as principal at the Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets, where he improved the school’s performance by every major metric, including a 72-point API increase. Previously, Mr. Carr served various LAUSD schools as an English teacher, a basketball coach and athletic director, an instructional coach, an English/Language Arts content expert, and an assistant principal. He has attended a wide range of universities, including UC Berkeley, USC, and the National University of Ireland at Galway; he holds a BA from UC Irvine and an MA in Educational Leadership from CSU Northridge.
