Alliance Margaret M. Bloomfield Technology High School will utilize the Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) education model, which provides each student with a laptop and uses a wide variety of technological tools to prepare them for success in college and future careers.  To read more about the BLAST model, click here.


Alliance Margaret M. Bloomfield Technology High School will be located in Huntington Park, southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The area is primarily home to Mexican-American families, many of whom are recent immigrants to the United States. Alliance Bloomfield High School will be located near Alliance College-Ready Middle Academy 9, which also opens fall 2014 and will serve students in grades 6-8.

Principal Profile

Principal Meymarian began her experience in education as an instructional aid for The Glendale Unified School District. After attaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, and counseling at-risk teenagers, Ms. Meymarian taught English as a foreign language in both Greece and The Czech Republic. In 2007, she earned her Single Subject Teaching Credential in English with a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. Concurrently, she became the founding English teacher of Alliance Dr. Olga Mohan High School. Eager to combine her counseling background with her classroom experience, Ms. Meymarian pursued an Administrative Services Credential from Loyola Marymount University to get into school administration. In 2010, she became assistant principal of Alliance Collins Family College-Ready High School where she served for four years. Principal Meymarian strives for academic excellence, data-driven school culture, and high parent involvement.
