Click for Charter Schools

It is now easier for parents to locate and learn about charter schools, thanks to a statewide campaign that was launched on the campus of Huntington Park College-Ready Academy.  One click can take you to “My School.”

Designed to reach more than 300,000 California parents, “My School” is a new interactive web site designed by the California Charter Schools Association to provide information and locations for the state’s 600 charter schools.  The goal of the campaign is to double the number of parents who can choose charter schools for their children.  The launch rally was held in mid-November on the HPCRA campus and unveiled www.myschool.org. Hundreds of HP students and parents were joined by peers from other Los Angeles charter schools to announce the online potential.  President of the CCSA Caprice Young reminded parents that “they have the right to choose the best public school for their child, and myschool.org will help parents find a charter school near them.”
