Growing Support for Alliance College-Ready Public Schools
Nearly $4 million have been donated to the Alliance in the last four months to support the quality and expansion of College-Ready Public Schools. The most recent generous friends of Alliance schools are:
NewSchools Venture Fund: $2.8 million to support capacity development, program implementation, and operations
California Department of Education Public Charter Grant Program: $765,000
Joseph Drown Foundation: $50,000
Mrs. Martha Mortenson Living Trust: $15,000
The Annenberg Foundation: $100,000
Gayle Miller through her Go Alongside Foundation: $50,000
Arthur Levine Family Foundation: $50,000
As we prepare to enter a new year, we reflect on our accomplishments, challenges, and what we’d like to achieve in the year ahead. The Alliance accomplishments were tremendous in 2005. These would not have happened without the generous support of our donors who believe in our mission of preparing our youth for college success – one student, one family, one grade level at a time.
