CRAHS Outperforms Local High Schools
In its first year, College-Ready Academy High School earned an impressive Academic Performance Index (API) of 696, nearly 200 points higher than the API of 504, the average score of neighborhood schools in south Los Angeles. It is also 52 points above the median API for all of Los Angeles Unified School District.
CRAHS outperformed nearby high schools in English Language Arts, too. Results of its first year of assessments indicate that 41% of CRAHS students were proficient to advanced on 2005 state standards tests and only 1% were far below basic.
