Alliance Susan & Eric Smidt Technology High School is located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood northeast of Downtown Los Angeles. The area is primarily home to Latino and Asian immigrant families.

Alliance Smidt Tech shares a campus with Alliance College-Ready Middle Academy 5.
 

Demographics and Average Daily Attendance

91% Latino, 6% Other, 2% African American, and 1% White, 15% English Language Learner (ELL) students, and 91% free or reduced meal program participants. 
 

Principal Profile

Dean Marolla-Turner has been an educator for the past 25 years. Prior to joining Alliance Susan and Eric Smidt Technology High School, he was the founding principal at Alliance Neuwirth Leadership Academy where he served for 8 years. Before joining Alliance, Mr. Marolla-Turner served in numerous positions as a teacher and administrator in Long Beach Unified School District. His wide-range of experience includes educating adults in Teacher Credentialing Programs. He possess a BA in Mathematics from University Center of New York at Binghamton and a MA in Mathematics from Cal State Dominguez Hills. In 2013, he was honored as Alliance’s Principal of the Year.
