Background
This school brings rigorous college-preparatory instruction and powerful learning experiences through interdisciplinary projects and integration of real-world applications. Principal
Prior to his role as principal, Jonathan Tiongco helped lead teacher innovation serving as Alliance’s Director of BLAST Implementation for 2 years.  In this role, Jonathan oversaw blended learning pilots, full-school conversions, facilitated knowledge-sharing between schools and new educational programs at a Next Generation Learning Challenges grantee school. Before joining Alliance, as the instructional leader his school demonstrated among the largest academic gains in the district serving as School Site Co-Director for Youth Policy Institute Charter Schools. Jonathan began his career as a middle school teacher and was a marathon leader. He earned his BA in Sociology from UCLA and his MA in Computing in Education from Columbia University.
