Join an Event or Volunteer

If you believe education is important and want to directly impact the lives of students in LA’s most under-served communities, please join us at an upcoming event or volunteer opportunity below. To find out more, sign up for the Alliance Mailing List.

August 10 | 6:30-8:30PM
Career Networking Night
Alliance Home Office - downtown LA

Join us as a volunteer career mentor at the 2017 Alliance Alumni Career Networking Night, where you can share your career experience and wisdom, introduce alumni to a broad range of career opportunities, help alumni sharpen their interview skills and build career networks, and introduce students to potential internship opportunities. Alliance alumni are excited to learn about your professional background and hear your advice as they embark on their own career paths.

Late Summer 2017 - January 2018
College Application Mentorship Porgram (CAMP)
Join us as a volunteer mentor  where you can make a direct impact on a group of high school seniors at a critical time in their journeys. CAMP (or the College Application Mentorship Program) will pair each volunteer with one high-performing senior from late-Summer to January to help them with their college essays, college target list, and general guidance and advice on navigating the college application process. Volunteers can expect to do 4-6 meetings with their student (most will be self-scheduled and can be in-person or virtual; we may  plan 1 or more group scheduled meetings as well) over the course of the program, finishing once all their college applications are submitted (usually Jan 1). Expected time commitment is 6-8 hours over the program length.

Save the Date: November 9, 2017
