In LA's most under-served neighborhoods, Alliance free public charter schools are successfully showing that all students can overcome even the greatest of challenges to meet high expectation when provided access to opportunities and supportive learning environments.
Over 12 years, Alliance has grown to 28 schools while continuing to lead public education in their communities and Los Angeles. Alliance scholars excel, consistently outperforming neighboring school, LAUSD and California school averages:
100% of Alliance students graduate with the requirements to apply to UC and CSU colleges and 95% of Alliance graduates are accepted to college. Our students are often the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college and changing their future trajectory while inspiring others in their community and future generations. The staff at Alliance is energized by the impact of our success, and inspired by the incredible potential of continuing our work.
This spring, U.S. News & World Report ranked 14 Alliance high schools among the top of the nation. Of those ranked, 5 were in the top 5% high schools nationwide. Alliance schools are also recognized by the California Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Education among the best in the nation with accolades including the California Distinguished School awards, California Gold Ribbon Award for Academic Excellence and the National Blue Ribbon, considered the highest honor a school can receive.
In 2016, Alliance high schools were 3 out of only 4 high schools in Los Angeles that were named for successfully closing the achievement gap in the first study to measure achievement gaps among schools across the nation.
